New York City-based pianist/composer Jon Snell blends contemporary classical and soundtrack influences in his latest project, Awakening (released January 2024). Snell, an Iowa native, is known for his versatility, having worked across various genres, including R&B, pop, jazz, and musical theatre. He holds a B.A. in Music from the University of Northern Iowa and an M.M. in Jazz Piano from the Manhattan School of Music. Snell serves as a pianist/MD at Trinity Baptist Church NYC and is on the Jazz Piano Faculty at Manhattan School of Music, teaching jazz courses and private lessons in the Precollege Division.
